The National Workshop for State & Local Transportation Advocates brings together transportation investment champions from around the country to share best practices, playbook secrets and other keys to success in advancing state and local legislative and ballot initiatives that boost transportation infrastructure investment.

The workshop addresses the real-life challenges and success stories of state transportation funding campaigns. Attendees learn what states have raised or are trying to raise new transportation revenue, why they are doing so, what revenue streams they are exploring, who the major players are, and campaign tactics and strategies.

Attendees leave the Workshop with new skills and strategies for increased funding in their own states. The Workshop is held in conjunction with ARTBA’s annual Public-Private Partnerships in Transportation Conference.

This event is closed to media.

The Transportation Investment Advocates Council also holds an annual in-person meeting for members of the Council, or for those interested in joining.  To join, contact Carolyn Kramer Simons and provide your name and organization.

Public Officials attend for free! Contact Carolyn Kramer Simons for more details.

Feedback for the National Workshop for State & Local Transportation Advocates:

“There is so much at stake with these funding issues. Politics is the process of making good policy, but the process is relational. This workshop provides an opportunity to build relationships and get better access to data and information.”
