Hello,
As an ardent supporter of transportation infrastructure investment, I know first-hand the tremendous benefit of attending the National Workshop for State & Local Transportation Advocates being held July 15-16 this year in our Nation’s Capital.
Like many of you, I work to improve my state’s infrastructure by promoting thoughtful, effective methods for raising long-term revenue. My participation in previous Workshops has helped me:
- Discover innovative, new funding approaches;
- Learn new strategies for building relationships among key stakeholders;
- Network with peers from other states who provide valuable insights; and
- Position myself as a thought leader capable of driving change.
In fact, the knowledge I gained from past Workshops helped us pass a robust transportation funding bill in Minnesota last year, which included a new delivery fee – an idea we learned about from Colorado, that will ensure long-term revenue for years to come.
I hope you will join me in Washington, DC next month as we build on lessons learned and discover new ways to “move the needle” when it comes to securing investment in America’s transportation network. Register here.
Sincerely,
Margaret Donahoe, Executive Director, the Minnesota Transportation Alliance
