The West Virginia Division of Highways wants to use $50 million in federal pandemic relief funding to advance the Medical Access Roads program. Gov. Jim Justice (R) said the program includes 95 highway projects to improve access to medical facilities. The work \ must be completed by Dec. 31 to receive the federal reimbursement. Read more>>

 

In New Jersey, the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) awarded $161.25 million to 21 counties. The amount to each county is based on its population. For example, Passaic County, with 500,000 residents, is receiving over $7.5 million for local road and bridge improvements, said county officials. Read more>>

 

Illinois state officials say $21.3 billion has been earmarked to improve roads and bridges over the next six years. Gov. Jay Robert “J.B.”  Pritzker (D) said the Rebuild Illinois capital plan provides funding to reconstruct over 3,300 miles of roads and over 8 million square feet of bridges.
