Transportation investment champions from around the country are coming together virtually July 14-15 for the 7th Annual “National Workshop for State & Local Transportation Advocates,” a signature program of the Transportation Investment Advocacy Center (TIAC). Experts and advocates will share their research and experiences on campaigning for transportation funding increases—what works, what doesn’t work, national trends, federal involvement, and the impact Covid-19 has had on planning and goals. Attendees will learn new information and develop skills to aid in their own campaign to increase transportation investment.
The virtual event will feature four in-depth sessions exploring transportation investment, including:
- Keys to Success–Building Legislative Trust & Educating the Public;
- Analysis of Major Transportation Funding Trends & Federal Funding;
- Adapting to a New Reality, a discussion on the impact of Covid-19 on transportation investment planning; and
- Transportation Investment Success–Perspectives from State Legislators.
The annual meeting of the “Transportation Investment Advocates Council” will be held in conjunction with the Workshop. Council members will discuss recent ARTBA-TIAC business and new projects.
