Three state transportation investment advocates will share their campaign experiences and discuss November ballot measures during a 2 p.m. Eastern, April 14, webinar sponsored by ARTBA’s Transportation Investment Advocacy Center™ (ARTBA-TIAC). The featured speakers are:

Joey Dean, executive vice president, AGC Arkansas. State voters will consider a measure on Nov. 3 to permanently extend an existing half-cent sales tax for transportation investment.

Helena Schwarz, executive director, Build Together. Schwarz’s national organization works to build grassroots support for federal infrastructure investment by localizing the discussion, and has been campaigning in swing states to increase awareness and dialogue.

Lynn Peterson, Metro Council president, Oregon Metro. Portland region voters Nov. 3 will decide a proposed $7 billion transportation investment bond, paid through a local business tax and increased vehicle registration fees, which will be used to address safety issues and transit needs. Peterson will be joined by Andy Shaw, Metro’s director of government affairs and policy development.
