Over 90 bills related to state transportation funding have been discussed to-date in 38 states during the 2016 legislative session. Twelve measures have already been approved, totaling $4.343 billion. Further state legislative action is expected as the year progresses, particularly in New Jersey as talks continue to try to resolve the state’s transportation funding crisis.

TIAC staff have also tracked 55 transportation funding measures already considered on county and local ballots this year, with 50 approved and five failed, for $4.258 billion in new revenue. An additional 45 measures are being tracked for the upcoming Nov. 8 ballot, with more expected as we approach the election.
