The Transportation Investment Advocacy Center’s updated report of state funding initiatives is now available!

TIC staff’s recent review finds several states approved transportation ballot measures during the November 4 election. In addition:

  • A new transportation funding bill was introduced in New Jersey;
  • California Governor Jerry Brown (D) approved a vehicle-miles-traveled study and an Enhanced Infrastructure District measure;
  • Virginia lawmakers approved a 1.6 percent increase in the state sales tax on gasoline (in accordance with legislation passed in 2013); and
  • The Michigan Senate approved a sales tax on the wholesale price of motor fuels and sent the bill to the House for consideration.
