Our recent review of state legislatures is now available. Over the past month, several events have taken place in transportation funding advocacy. Missouri voters defeated a ballot measure August 5 to increase the state sales tax by three-fourths-cents to fund transportation infrastructure projects. Additionally, Governor Pat Quinn (D) signed into law a transportation bond that will provide $100 million for local improvements to roads and bridges. Looking forward, several states have transportation ballot measures planned for the upcoming November election.
