Our review of state legislatures shows that as of February 26, 14 states legislatures are currently considering bills to increase funding for state transportation programs.  In November, voters in Texas will have an opportunity to approve an amendment to the state’s Constitution that would redirect $1.2 billion annually in oil and gas revenue from the state’s general Rainy Day Fund to support transportation improvements.  For a national map illustrating the status of these developments, click 2014 Map State Funding Legislation .
